TRUMP COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR, HOPE HICKS TO BE INTERVIEWED BY MUELLER TEAM

White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders and others in the Trump administration have been making claims that the Robert Mueller, Trump-Russia investigation may be concluding soon. The investigation seems to just be warming up. Next up in the hot seat: Hope Hicks.

CNN (@cnn) reports, Trump’s Communications Director, Hope Hicks has been tapped to be interviewed by the Mueller investigation team. Hicks is one of Trump’s longest-serving and closest aides. Mueller’s team is interviewing White House officials “regularly” and “deliberately” over the coming weeks, and officials expect Mueller could conclude interviews with White House officials by Thanksgiving. Some administration officials are expected to be interviewed by Mueller’s team while Trump is on a 12-day trip to Asia. Officials who are traveling with the president, like Hicks, are expected to be interviewed upon return from the trip.

Hicks was one of the first members of the Trump campaign. She joined on in Spring of 2015 and quickly became one of Trump’s closest and most trusted confidants who was almost always by his side during the presidential campaign. She now works at a desk just outside the oval office.

Hope Hicks is 29-years old and the youngest ever White House Communications Director. Hope Hicks was nearly always by the president’s side during and after the 2016 presidential election. Mueller and his team will surely be grilling the young woman when they interview her in November. I’m also sure that they will remind Ms. Hicks that lying to federal agents carries a 5-year prison term, which they’ve already shown they have no problem slapping a person with. This should be very interesting. Another thing to keep your eye on in the coming weeks.
