Actor/singer, Tyrese was granted joint custody of his 10-year old daughter by a judge on Friday. Tyrese’s ex-wife and mother of the child, had been granted a temporary domestic violence restraining order against Tyrese back in September. Tyrese denied the charges alleged against him. As part of the restraining order, Tyrese’s ex-wife obtained sole custody of the child while officials looked into the claims.
E! News (@enews) reports, The Department Of Child And Family Services closed an investigation in November, after finding no evidence of the claims made against Tyrese. On Friday, a judge awarded Tyrese 50/50 joint custody of his daughter, beginning in January. The judge denied Tyrese’s ex’s request to make the restraining order permanent. Tyrese took to Instagram after his win to speak on things.
“Today is not a win for me, it is a win for our daughter, Shayla….who unfortunately has been exposed to tension, private and public embarrassment and growing up and feeling torn between two parents who are no longer married.”
