ABC PULLS THE PLUG ON AYESHA CURRY’S BAKING SHOW AFTER SEXUAL MISCONDUCT CLAIMS SURFACE AGAINST ONE OF THE JUDGES
Ayesha Curry’s baking show, The Great American Baking Show, is being pulled from ABC’s schedule after just one episode. It’s not because the show was bad. It’s not even because of anything that Ayesha Curry did. The baking show is being pulled because one of the show’s judges is in the midst of a sexual misconduct firestorm.
Mercury News (@mercurynews) out of the San Francisco Bay area reports, celebrity pastry chef Johnny Luzzini is reportedly facing sexual misconduct allegations from multiple women. Not only has Luzzini been accused of sexual misconduct, he’s also being accused of harassment and abuse. In light of what’s going on in the world today with sexual allegations against someone new being revealed every single day, it came as no surprise that ABC wanted to distance themselves as far away from Luzzini as possible…and subsequently, Ayesha Curry’s baking show.
“In light of allegations that recently came to our attention, ABC has ended it’s relationship with Johnny Luzzini and will not be airing the remainder of “The Great American Baking Show” episodes. ABC takes matters such as those described in the allegations very seriously and has come to the conclusion that they violate our standards of conduct” An ABC spokesperson said in a statement.
