Washington Wizards team officials made a huge announcement today that will certainly be a major blow to the Washington Wizards. All-Star point guard John Wall is set to have a procedure done on his left knee and could miss up to two months of the season. The news couldn’t come at a worse time for Wizards fans. The all-star game is next month. Basketball fans know that the time after the all-star game is when teams make their push for playoff positioning. Wall’s absence for any extended period of time could easily take the Wiz completely out of the playoff mix.
ESPN (@espn) reports, the team announced that Wall will not play in next month’s all-star game. Wall underwent an MRI on his left knee on Monday and then met with orthopedic surgeon, Richard Parker who performed two previous knee surgeries on Wall in 2016. Wall could miss up to two months as a result of the upcoming surgical procedure. The Wizards said they would provide a timeline for Wall’s return after the procedure is completed.
