Days ago, the Seattle Seahawks informed their all-star cornerback that they would be releasing him on Friday. Today, the Seahawks made the announcement official.

Sherman was drafted by Seattle in the 5th round in 2011. Richard Sherman is a four-time bro bowler. In 2013, Sherman led the league in interceptions and also helped Seattle win their first Super Bowl. Sherman’s exit from Seattle marks the official end of “The Legion Of Boom.” DE Michael Bennett was traded to the Philadelphia Eagles earlier this week. Sherman will officially become a free agent. With so many teams looking for a quality corner, chances are, Sherman won’t be on the market for too long before a team comes along and scoops him up.
