ACTRESS MARGOT KIDDER BEST KNOWN AS LOIS LANE FROM THE “SUPERMAN” MOVIES, PASSES AWAY AT 69

LIVINGSTON, MT

Actrees, Margot Kidder, best known for her role as Lois Lane in the widely popular original set of movies “Superman”, has passed away at the age of 69. Variety Magazine (@Variety) reports, Kidder’s publicist, Camilla Fluxman Pines, told variety that the actress passed away in her sleep at her home in Montana on Sunday.

 

 

 

Canadian born, Kidder made her acting bones in low-budget Canadian films and tv shows before landing a role in the 1970’s film “Quaker Fortune Has A Cousin In The Bronx” with Gene Wilder. Kidder rose to fame when she was cast in the 1978 film Superman where she played Clark Kent’s (Christopher Reeves) love interest, Lois Lane. Kidder starred in all four original Superman movies as Lois Lane. After Superman, Kidder went on to act in multiple movies and tv shows, including “Smallville”, a made for television version of the movies that brought Kidder to prominence.

 

 

 

Kidder became a U.S citizen in 2005 and lived in Montana until her death. Kidder won an Emmy Award in 2015 for her performance in the children’s TV show “The Haunting Hour.” Kidder was married three times and had a child with her first husband and author, Thomas Mcguane. Her daughter, Maggie was born in 1976. Kidder also leaves behind two grandchildren.
