This is former Commissioner of the NY/NJ Port Authority, Caren Z. Turner. Ms. Turner didn’t like the fact that her child and child’s friend were pulled over and cited for speeding by the police. So, she decided to let the police know who she was, who she knew, and what she could have done to them for having the audacity to site her child for speeding. Ms. Turner also let the police know that they were stupid. She was not calm about doing so either. From way over here, watching the video, I felt that the lives and safety of these two officers were in direct danger. Why is it that officers at a Waffle House in Alabama felt that their safety was so threatened by one woman, but these officers clearly did not? Ms. Turner was not even issued a citation for verbal intimidation of a peace officer. The young woman in Alabama was roughly taken into custody. Can you guess why it was that two women were treated in such a completely different manner???

Sometimes it seems that the more things change, the more they stay the same. In the year 2018, in a scene straight out of something that you may have seen in video clips of how black people were treated during the civil rights movement back in the 1960’s, two white police officers publicly degrade and disrobe a black woman in a restaurant…..and for what? Did this woman shoot 6 people with an AR-15 rifle at another Waffle House location in Nashville TN, killing four and injuring another two? Did this woman shoot and kill 17 people with an AR-15 rifle at a high school in Parkland Florida? Did this woman shoot and kill 58 people with an AR-15 at an outdoor concert in Las Vegas? Nope. Now, I know you’ve gotta be asking yourself “what was the police called for that made two male police officers react to one woman in such a violent and degrading fashion?” The answer. A disagreement with restaurant staff over silverware….or maybe it was plastic silverware…..one of the police officers said it was because he heard the “F” word. There are multiple accounts of the story, but whichever one you want to go with, ask yourself one thing. Did it call for this type of escalation? Then ask yourself this. How would you feel if this were your mother….or sister….or aunt….or cousin?

Murderers have been treated more gently than this young black woman was treated by these two cops. The first example that comes to mind is Dylan Roof. The white man who murdered nine black people as they pray in a Charleston, SC church. In that instance, police took the mass murderer to a fast food restaurant to get a bite to eat before they eventually (and I’m certain, very gently) took him down to the station to be booked for killing nine innocent people. I guess a disagreements over silverware is a much more serious crime than murdering 9 people. In the video you can see police choke, manhandle, and degrade this woman. From where I’m sitting, it looks like the police involved had some type of fetish for white male domination over a black woman. If you take a close look on the faces of the officers, what you don’t see is someone fearing for their lives. What you don’t see is a person trying to do their job. What you do see, are people taking pleasure in what’s currently happening….all of it. From the control of a black woman, to the sight of her exposed breast, to the power felt from controlling a woman who is held down beneath them, to the physical threats (“what am I doing? I’m about to break your arm is what I’m doing!” You can hear one of the cops say to the woman), to the climax when the cop placed his hands around this woman’s throat. This was not an arrest. This was an attempted rape! If there were no witnesses present, this could have (and probably would have) easily turned into an actual rape instead of an attempt. Not only should these policemen be fired, they should be arrested and charged with assault, attempted rape, and terroristic threats! Right is right, and wrong is wrong. This is clearly wrong. There was no logical reason that this should have escalated to this point. Over fuckin’ silverware???? Really?? Police officers’ first action when arriving on scene is supposed to be to deescalate a situation. Not make the shit worse. Again I ask, how would you feel if this were your mother, or sister, or cousin, or aunt? However you may feel about it……..be sure to keep that same energy if it unfortunately does happen to one of your loved ones.

Roy Moore walked (better yet, rode) right into that headline didn’t he? I know every blog and newspaper has probably used this headline for this story already, but I just couldn’t resist. Roy Moore rode in to the polls on his horse Sally yesterday to vote, beaming with pride, arrogance, and false bravado. He was confident that the Alabama special election was his. He was confident that getting elected to the U.S. Senate was going to be a walk in the park, the actual election was just a formality. Roy Moore was confident that ignorance, racism, and a lack of morality disguised as “Christianity” reigned supreme in his home State of Alabama. What Roy Moore didn’t plan for, was the power of black women, minorities, and decent people of Alabama turning out to vote against him in record-breaking numbers.

Make no mistake about it, this will go down in history as one of the biggest political upsets in history. Alabama is a Republican State. Scratch that. Alabama is a heavy Republican State. It’s been 25 years since the State elected a Democrat to represent its people in the United States Senate. This was not supposed to happen. I kept my eyes on the election results as the early numbers were coming in. It was close. Very close. By the time the tabulations got up to around 40% or so, Roy Moore had taken what was looking like a commanding lead. I won’t lie. At that point, I thought it was over. I turned the television to the basketball game as I cursed the people of Alabama for voting party instead of common sense and morality. A little while later, I hopped on Twitter and the first tweet I saw was a guy tweeting “why are people celebrating just because Doug Jones barely won? An election against an accused pedophile should never have been that close in the first place.” The only part of the tweet I initially paid any attention to was “Doug Jones won.” Doug Jones won? Seriously? I rushed to change the channel back to CNN, and yup, the guy on Twitter was right. Doug Jones had pulled off the unthinkable. A Democrat winning a Senate seat in Alabama. Alabama? Probably the reddest of red states on the entire map. If Alabama can be taken by a Democrat, that means that every Senate seat that’s up for re-election in 2018 is in jeopardy of being flipped in the Democrat’s direction. This was not supposed to happen in Alabama. Jeff Sessions held the Alabama Senate seat before Donald Trump decided to put him in charge of the Justice Department. By the way, Republicans would still have that seat if Donald Trump wouldn’t have made the ridiculous move. But, my point is, Jeff Sessions is a man who was known to have racist ways and tendencies. He won Alabama easily. In Alabama, it wasn’t supposed to matter if you were racist or an alleged pedophile. In Alabama, the only thing that was supposed to matter was that you were Republican. That thought is the exact thing that Donald Trump pushed to the people of Alabama when he decided to endorse Roy Moore. “Vote Roy Moore because we can’t afford to have a liberal Democrat in Alabama’s Senate seat!” Was what he said.  Forget the fact that he’s an accused child molester. Vote Roy Moore simply because he is Republican. Some listened to the message Trump. But obviously, more didn’t. Trump was the reason this race was even close in the first place. Normally, most people wouldn’t pay much attention to a special election. Democrats could never find a way to make people see how important a Senate seat was. They probably still have not figured out how to show people how important these elections are. But Donald Trump did. Just by speaking about it. By backing Roy Moore in this election, Donald Trump brought out people to vote who were probably not even thinking about voting. That would be a good thing if the votes you brought out, weren’t going directly against the person you endorsed! Even still, the blame for this huge “L” does not go to Donald Trump. The blame for this Republican “L” down in Alabama gets placed squarely on the shoulders of one man…….STEVE BANNON.

I’ve watched Steve Bannon move over the months since his name has become a recognizable one in the political sphere. Three things I’ve noticed. 1) Steve Bannon has some very wealthy people backing him. 2) The people backing him has a clear plan and agenda. 3) Donald trump and the old school Republicans are not part of that plan or agenda. In short, the Bannon wing of the “Republican” party is, and has been plotting a coup of the Republican party since day one. Trump is not part of that coup. Honestly, I think Trump already did what the “Bannonites” needed him to do. That was to get idiots to follow him and believe whatever he said. I believe that Bannon and his backers knew that it wasn’t about the messenger, the important thing was the message! And the Bannon message was being heard loud and clear, and accepted by many. “If it ain’t white, it ain’t right!” Bannon & company were slowly working their plan. This is a slow con. Everyone knows that the slow con can take years before anyone can even see what the con was. The Bannon & company con was moving in the right direction…..slowly and steadily. Then Bannon lost his job in the White House. At that point, pride took over. Bannon attempted to speed up the plan of the coup against old school Republicans. Simply because his feelings had been hurt. Bannon showed his hand……much too early. He made it clear that he was out to get the old school Republicans. He also made it clear that he was out to get Donald Trump, even though Donald Trump and his followers are too blind to see it. This was why Steve Bannon backed Roy Moore in Alabama when Trump backed Republican candidate Luther Strange. Bannon was out to show Trump and the Republicans who really had the power in the Republican party. Trump couldn’t see this. He still can’t see it. Why else would Bannon purposely go against the candidate Trump decided to endorse? When Roy Moore beat Luther Strange down in Alabama, the shift in power was felt all the way back in Washington D.C. Republicans that had an inch of sense could see that Steve Bannon was gunning for them. But Republicans are cowards. Instead of mounting a fight, they hoped to get in Bannon’s good graces before he inevitably became “King Of The Republican Castle.” It was what got Republicans to back accused child molester, Roy Moore. FEAR. After the Moore victory over Luther Strange, Bannon was looked at as “the magician.” He did the unthinkable. Bannon was now the Golden Child. Roy Moore was supposed to win Alabama, and Steve Bannon’s legend was supposed to grow. Instead, he’s been exposed for what he really is. He’s not a political genius. Steve Bannon is no more than a racist, alleged former “meth-head”, running around here voicing his racist views and ways. That’s it. The man has no power. There are more good people in the world, than there are racist, rapist, and deplorables. If you don’t believe me, go check the results of last night’s Alabama special election again. The “legend” of Steve Bannon was a myth. Now old school Republicans know it. There is no more fear of Steve Bannon. If his candidate can’t win a red state like Alabama, what power and following does Steve Bannon really have? Alabama was supposed to be a breeze, and he couldn’t bring out enough racist and rapist in Alabama to put his candidate over the top? Bannon is done. The fear of going up against the Bannonites is gone. Republicans will probably find their balls now, and try to fake it like those balls were always present. A Republican candidate lost last night’s special election, but old school Republicans in the House and Senate won big time…….for now. Democrats are coming for those seats in 2018, and they’re probably going to get them too. A new day is coming. Ironically, Bannon is the one that turned the tides with his arrogance and lack of knowledge in how politics really work. But the saviors of our great Country, no doubt were the people of Alabama, and more specifically, black women in Alabama, who 97% voted Doug Jones! GOOD WORK ALABAMA! YOU ARE NOT DEPLORABLES!

The President had a positive call with Judge Roy Moore during which they discussed the state of the Alabama Senate race and the President endorsed Judge Moore’s campaign.”

This is the official statement released from the White House minutes ago. The White House’s statement of the President’s endorsement of Roy Moore comes a day after Republican Senate Majority Leader, Mitch McConnell said “we’re going to let the people of Alabama decide”, when asked if Roy Moore should hold Alabama’s Senate seat. Just last month, November 13th to be exact, McConnel said “I think Roy Moore should step aside”, when asked the same question. So what happened between November 13th and yesterday to change Mitch McConnel’s opinion on the Roy Moore situation? Was it facts surfacing that prove that Moore is innocent of harassing children and attempting to engage with them sexually? No it wasn’t that. Between the time McConnel spoke out against Moore, and yesterday, there have been at least five more claims made that Moore attempted to engage in some sort of inappropriate sexual behavior with a minor. Honestly, I believe that if the show “To Catch A Predator” was a thing back in the 70’s and 80’s when Roy Moore was on the prowl, he would’ve probably made a guest appearance at some point. Mitch McConnel’s opinion on the Roy Moore situation changed for one reason. BECAUSE HE IS A COWARD. Mitch McConnel is not alone in his cowardice though. 99% of the GOP are in the same cowardly boat. What most of us don’t see is that there is heavy fighting going on within the Republican party. It’s not exactly in-fighting, it’s more of a hostile entity moving in to take over, while conventional Republicans kneel down in submission out of fear, instead of fighting back. COWARDS.

The Republican Party is crawling with former Tea Party Members who have switched their name to Republicans during the rise of the Trump “grifters” takeover of the government. If you remember, the Tea Party was just a bunch of angry individuals. They had no idea what they were really angry at, except the fact that a black man was President Of The United States. The Tea Party had backers though. Backers with money. Backers with political influence. And backers within the media. Three things that you desperately need to attempt a coup’ of a government. With those things in place, all you need is a figure-head to preach your message (or non-message) to other angry-for-nothing individuals. The Tea Party found the perfect figure-head in Donald Trump. A reality star….I take that back. A reality personality who’s claim to fame is making people believe that he is rich, and saying and doing racist and idiotic things. The Bannon led group are running things. Trump is just an idiotic figure-head. The thing that represents everything the followers believe in. Hate and exclusion of anything not white. This has been the Republican way for a long time, but hate and exclusion has long been an underlying part of what the party stood for, or at least what they claimed to stand for. At the forefront of the Republican agenda was always fiscal responsibility and “high morality.” Republicans have prided themselves on being morally correct for decades. That belief was the thing that allowed Republicans to get on their high-horse when Bill Clinton got a blow-job from an intern. Republican “morality” was even the thing that allowed them to be “outraged” when president Obama decided to wear a tan suit one day. Republicans and the Republican base argued that a tan suit was “not presidential.” Fast forward to today and ask where all of this “morality” and outrage is at now? A blow- job and a tan suit are the least of this Country’s problems. As a matter of fact, I believe most people (with common sense and not cult members) would be happy if that was all that we had to worry about these days. The party of “morals and fiscal responsibility” now openly accepts lying, cheating, running up the national deficit, endless tax-payer funded spending sprees for public officials, stupidity, hate speech, hateful actions, abuse of power, possible treason, collusion, espionage, selling the Country to a hostile foreign power for profit…….and now, Republicans can add pedophilia to the long list of things that are now acceptable to the party of “high moral standards.” The Republican Party doesn’t even look like itself anymore. That’s mostly because it’s not the Republican Party anymore. The Republican Party has been taken over by a right-wing, angry for nothing, racist, sexist, misogynistic, hate everything that’s not white, band of low-life, uneducated criminals. They have a huge following of people who fall into some, or all of those categories too. This is why Mitch McConnel and probably every other Republican has changed their stance on Roy Moore. Because Trump has. The old-school Republican establishment assumed that being accused of sexually assaulting children was something that would shame Roy Moore into hiding. They assumed that the accusations would surely be enough to make ol’ Roy say “uh oh! It’s time for me to quit and get myself out of the spotlight, before more allegations come forward!” What the old established Republicans failed to realize was how little Roy Moore cared about being shamed, and that it’s really hard to shame someone who has no shame. Roy Moore has no shame. Voters in Alabama who plan to vote for Roy Moore have no shame. Donald trump has no shame. Steve Bannon and the “Band Of Grifters” have no shame. By affiliation, Mitch McConnel and the old school Republican Party of “Morals” have no shame. And they’re totally fine with that………AS LONG AS IT ALLOWS THEM TO STAY IN OFFICE!
