A helicopter crashed into New York’s Hudson River on Wednesday afternoon. The pilot was rescued from the water by a NY Waterway ferry crew. It was reported that the pilot suffered no injuries in the crash. CBS News New York (@cbsNY) reported, one person on the helipad suffered injuries. It’s unclear if the injuries suffered were from flying debris or something other. The pilot, 35-year old, Eric Morales said he was coming in to land when he felt something wrong. Morales said he tried to pull up, but that failed. He then did his best not to hit the helipad or the highway beyond the pad where people were standing. Witnesses say the chopper was coming into the West 30th Street helipad and fell short about 50 feet.
