Congressman Trey Gowdy, South Carolina (R) and Chairman Of The GOP oversight, took to Twitter this afternoon officially announce that he will not be seeking re-election. Instead, he will retire from Congress, and possibly head for a position in the Justice System.

Gowdy’s departure and announcement of a possible return to the Justice System could mean a number of things. No one really knows for certain. It’s not even clear if Gowdy knows why he’s leaving politics or what he will do after he leaves. That didn’t stop people from forming their own opinions though.

There are wide ranging opinions and theories floating around, but nobody really knows the reason for Gowdy’s sudden departure from politics except for him….maybe. It will be interesting to watch and see what all of these “retirements” from GOP members really mean though. I’m sure we will see what is really going on later in the year. Buckle up people. It’s looking like 2018 is going to be a wild ride.

I know some people will probably be mad when I say this, or refuse to want to hear this, and to be completely honest, this is just my opinion, with zero facts to back it up, but I honestly believe that this Camp David Weekend with the president, the president’s men, and select members of the GOP, is the beginning of the end of the Robert Mueller led Trump-Russia investigation.

Before you jump to conclusions let me say this : I DO NOT SAY THAT THIS IS THE BEGINNING OF THE END BECAUSE I BELIEVE DONALD TRUMP IS NOT GUILTY OF SELLING THE COUNTRY TO RUSSIA! All evidence says otherwise. It would be hard to find a member of the Trump Administration who did not have back-alley meetings or interactions with Russian crime figures or Russian Putin implants. In my personal opinion, Donald Trump, and at least 75% of the GOP are guilty as f*uck! Guilty of directly or indirectly conspiring with Russia to rig a presidential election and/or undermine the democracy of The United States. I’m no lawyer, political analyst, or scholar…..hell, I didn’t even graduate high school, but it’s clear as day that the Trump Administration is hiding something, and it’s also clear as day that the majority of the GOP, Fox News, and other right-leaning outlets are helping them cover it up.

The reason that Trump is going to get away with this, is because the people in power in this great Country of ours are pussies! Democrats and Republicans alike. The one difference is that Republicans are corrupt pussies! If you would’ve ever told me that one of the stupidest men in the Country could dismantle whole institutions that have been in place for centuries, before 2016, I would’ve said you were crazy. THE FBI? The institution whose name instills fear in the hearts of those who come in their cross-hairs? Five years ago, hell, two years ago, you would’ve had a hard time telling me that someone could beat, accuse of corruption, and ultimately dismantle this organization that has a long history of leading the way in law enforcement in this Country. But that’s just what has happened. Donald Trump has managed put his cronies in positions of power that guarantees him protection. Which is the reason Jeff Session was placed in his position as U.S. Attorney General. It was not because Donald Trump thought Jeff Sessions was going to be good at doing the job of Attorney General, it was because Donald Trump assumed that Jeff Sessions would do a good job of protecting him from prosecution by the FBI or any other government law enforcement agency. When Jeff Sessions recused himself from the Russia investigation (as he was supposed to do, due to his involvement in the Trump campaign during the presidential election, which the investigation was about), he marked himself. Even though Trump’s decision to fire James Comey was the thing that led to a special counsel being appointed in the first place, Trump felt that it was Session’s job to oversee the investigation and protect him……even if that was against the law. In Trump’s eyes, the fact that there even is a special counsel is all Jeff Sessions fault. The only thing that stopped Trump from firing Sessions earlier was probably a few of Sessions’ Republican friends claiming that they would be outraged if Trump fired Sessions and that there would be consequences for those actions. Fast forward to this Republican “Weekend At Camp Davids’.” Every Republican has seemed to change their tune. The rallying cry is now “Jeff Sessions must go!” Ask yourself….. why? I think it’s the same two reasons why Trump is in office now. #1 Republicans are corrupt pussies. #2 Corrupt pussies do corrupt things. Corrupt things that Donald Trump is likely framing them with evidence of.

With Sessions supposedly recusing himself from the investigation, the only thing standing between Trump and ending the Mueller-Russia investigation is Rod Rosenstein. Rosenstein is the man charged with overseeing Mueller’s investigation. That means that if special counsel needs money for overtime or anything investigation related, it needs to get cleared by Rosenstein. If special counsel needs permission to bring charges or get a grand jury, chances are that it has to go through Rosenstein first. What do you think would happen if Sessions were fired and Rosenstein were replaced by……I don’t know, someone a little more Trump-cronie-ish? You don’t know? I don’t either, but I’m guessing that this would be the end of funding for the special counsel investigation, and I’m also guessing that this would be an end to permission given for grand juries or to charge anyone under the protection of the president with crimes. Without the ability to do this, that will pretty much put an end to Robert Mueller’s Trump-Russia investigation without even needing to fire him.

One of the stupidest men in America has manged to infiltrate, destroy, and replace two longstanding institutions with an Army of crooks under his control. The FBI & the GOP. Lady Liberty must be so proud to see that our Country has been transformed into a playground for rich crooks. Honestly, I can’t help but to wonder if our Country has ever been anything other than that. It just took a crook/ professional grifter like Donald Trump to bring it to light. There is a silver lining in this grey cloud though. Ending Mueller’s investigation won’t stop people from knowing what they already know. Even if the investigation is ended, what’s stopping those who worked on the investigation from leaking what they have already uncovered during the course of their investigation to the press? They could easily leak the names of the Republican members who partook in the hijacking of the Country, and released what part they played to the press. Granted, no one will likely go to prison behind this, but it will give people even more incentive than they already have to vote Democrat in the 2018 special elections. If Democrats get control of the House and Senate in 2018….who knows……maybe they will finally grow a spine when they have the power to impeach this criminal. It’s a small hope, but a small hope is better than no hope at all ain’t it?

Yesterday, Arizona GOP Rep. Trent Franks announced that he would resign in January. His announcement came after the House Ethics Committee said that it would investigate allegations of sexual harassment by Franks. In his statement on Thursday, Franks hinted that resigning would save his love ones the embarrassment of having to go through a public prosecution that would be unfair and exaggerated. Franks acknowledged that some of his actions may have made staffers “uncomfortable.” Franks admitted to discussing fertility issues and surrogacy with two female staffers. Franks, however denied ever having made any sexual contact or physically intimidating anyone.

But in the midst of this current cultural and media climate, I am deeply convinced I would be unable to complete a fair House Ethics investigation before distorted sensationalized versions of this story would pull me, my family, my staff, and my noble colleagues in the House Of Representatives through hyperbolized public excoriation.”

Franks finished his statement by saying that he would be leaving Congress as of January 31, 2018. Franks changed his mind about the January date this afternoon when he announced that his resignation would be effective today.

“Last night, my wife was admitted to the hospital in Washington, D.C. due to an ongoing ailment. After discussing options with my family, we came to the conclusion that the best thing for our family now would be for me to tender my previous resignation effective today, December 8, 2017.”

Franks’ wife being hospitalized may have played a big part in his decision to make his resignation effective immediately, but it could have also been a hope by Franks that more information about his alleged wrongdoings would not be made public. Franks admitted to talking about surrogacy with two female staffers, but sources reported that one staffer said Franks suggested that he have sex with her to conceive a child for him and his wife, and another source reported that a staffer claimed Franks had offered her $5 million to act as a surrogate. That source said that Franks had asked her at least four times. There was going to be a good chance that the longer Franks would’ve stayed in office, the uglier this story was going to get. Franks’ wife being admitted to the hospital may have been an easy out for Franks. His resignation doesn’t necessarily mean that there won’t be more women coming forward with more allegations against Franks.

The President had a positive call with Judge Roy Moore during which they discussed the state of the Alabama Senate race and the President endorsed Judge Moore’s campaign.”

This is the official statement released from the White House minutes ago. The White House’s statement of the President’s endorsement of Roy Moore comes a day after Republican Senate Majority Leader, Mitch McConnell said “we’re going to let the people of Alabama decide”, when asked if Roy Moore should hold Alabama’s Senate seat. Just last month, November 13th to be exact, McConnel said “I think Roy Moore should step aside”, when asked the same question. So what happened between November 13th and yesterday to change Mitch McConnel’s opinion on the Roy Moore situation? Was it facts surfacing that prove that Moore is innocent of harassing children and attempting to engage with them sexually? No it wasn’t that. Between the time McConnel spoke out against Moore, and yesterday, there have been at least five more claims made that Moore attempted to engage in some sort of inappropriate sexual behavior with a minor. Honestly, I believe that if the show “To Catch A Predator” was a thing back in the 70’s and 80’s when Roy Moore was on the prowl, he would’ve probably made a guest appearance at some point. Mitch McConnel’s opinion on the Roy Moore situation changed for one reason. BECAUSE HE IS A COWARD. Mitch McConnel is not alone in his cowardice though. 99% of the GOP are in the same cowardly boat. What most of us don’t see is that there is heavy fighting going on within the Republican party. It’s not exactly in-fighting, it’s more of a hostile entity moving in to take over, while conventional Republicans kneel down in submission out of fear, instead of fighting back. COWARDS.

The Republican Party is crawling with former Tea Party Members who have switched their name to Republicans during the rise of the Trump “grifters” takeover of the government. If you remember, the Tea Party was just a bunch of angry individuals. They had no idea what they were really angry at, except the fact that a black man was President Of The United States. The Tea Party had backers though. Backers with money. Backers with political influence. And backers within the media. Three things that you desperately need to attempt a coup’ of a government. With those things in place, all you need is a figure-head to preach your message (or non-message) to other angry-for-nothing individuals. The Tea Party found the perfect figure-head in Donald Trump. A reality star….I take that back. A reality personality who’s claim to fame is making people believe that he is rich, and saying and doing racist and idiotic things. The Bannon led group are running things. Trump is just an idiotic figure-head. The thing that represents everything the followers believe in. Hate and exclusion of anything not white. This has been the Republican way for a long time, but hate and exclusion has long been an underlying part of what the party stood for, or at least what they claimed to stand for. At the forefront of the Republican agenda was always fiscal responsibility and “high morality.” Republicans have prided themselves on being morally correct for decades. That belief was the thing that allowed Republicans to get on their high-horse when Bill Clinton got a blow-job from an intern. Republican “morality” was even the thing that allowed them to be “outraged” when president Obama decided to wear a tan suit one day. Republicans and the Republican base argued that a tan suit was “not presidential.” Fast forward to today and ask where all of this “morality” and outrage is at now? A blow- job and a tan suit are the least of this Country’s problems. As a matter of fact, I believe most people (with common sense and not cult members) would be happy if that was all that we had to worry about these days. The party of “morals and fiscal responsibility” now openly accepts lying, cheating, running up the national deficit, endless tax-payer funded spending sprees for public officials, stupidity, hate speech, hateful actions, abuse of power, possible treason, collusion, espionage, selling the Country to a hostile foreign power for profit…….and now, Republicans can add pedophilia to the long list of things that are now acceptable to the party of “high moral standards.” The Republican Party doesn’t even look like itself anymore. That’s mostly because it’s not the Republican Party anymore. The Republican Party has been taken over by a right-wing, angry for nothing, racist, sexist, misogynistic, hate everything that’s not white, band of low-life, uneducated criminals. They have a huge following of people who fall into some, or all of those categories too. This is why Mitch McConnel and probably every other Republican has changed their stance on Roy Moore. Because Trump has. The old-school Republican establishment assumed that being accused of sexually assaulting children was something that would shame Roy Moore into hiding. They assumed that the accusations would surely be enough to make ol’ Roy say “uh oh! It’s time for me to quit and get myself out of the spotlight, before more allegations come forward!” What the old established Republicans failed to realize was how little Roy Moore cared about being shamed, and that it’s really hard to shame someone who has no shame. Roy Moore has no shame. Voters in Alabama who plan to vote for Roy Moore have no shame. Donald trump has no shame. Steve Bannon and the “Band Of Grifters” have no shame. By affiliation, Mitch McConnel and the old school Republican Party of “Morals” have no shame. And they’re totally fine with that………AS LONG AS IT ALLOWS THEM TO STAY IN OFFICE!
