CNN (@cnn) reports, the charges filed this morning stem from two separate incidents involving two separate women. One happened in 2004, the other in 2013, the Manhattan District Attorney said in a statement. Weinstein attorney Benjamin Braffman disagreed with the District Attorney’s assessment.
“Mr. Weinstein has always maintained that he has never engaged in non-consensual sexual behavior with anyone. Nothing about today’s proceedings changes Mr. Weinstein’s position. He has entered a plea of not guilty and fully expects to be exonerated.” Braffman said in a statement after the arraignment.
As part of the agreement between Weinstein attorney, Braffman and the District Attorney, Weinstein’s bond was set at $10 million. He’ll also be required to wear a GPS monitoring system and is only allowed to travel within New York state or Connecticut. Weinstein was also ordered to surrender his passport.

FORT LEE, NJ
Just one day after an emotional Safaree appeared on Angie Martinez’s talk show speaking about a traumatic armed robbery he’d experienced just hours earlier, two suspects have been arrested in connection with the jack move.
TMZ (@tmz) reports, two men suspected of robbing Safaree were arrested after cops chased the duo over the George Washington Bridge, from New Jersey into New York. Cops were allegedly in pursuit of the suspects after the robbery in Fort Lee, NJ. Cops followed the pair as they made their way over the bridge. At some point in the chase the pair wrecked the car they were driving in and fled on foot. NYPD joined in the pursuit, and the pair were captured about 12 blocks apart. The bandits were identified as Jonathan Ricketts and Shawn Harewood. After he was robbed, Safaree told the police that he’d been relieved of around $183,000 in cash and jewels by the robbers. No word on if Safaree’s money and jewelry has been recovered yet.
Fire officials said that a fire at a Bronx apartment complex that killed 12, was started when a 3-year old boy began playing with the burners on the family’s kitchen stove-top.
CNN (@CNN) reports, the 3-year old boy’s screams alerted the mother that a fire had erupted in their first floor apartment in the Bronx on Thursday night. When the mother fled the apartment with her child, fire officials say she made a fatal mistake by leaving the front door open. The fire quickly spread throughout the complex leaving 12 people dead. New York City Police say at least four of the deceased were kids, while Fire Department Officials put that number at 5.
The Bronx fire was the deadliest fire New York has seen in over 25 years. FDNY Commissioner Daniel Nigro said that the apartment’s stairway acted “like a chimney” as the fire burst from the apartment where it began. Feeding the flames and allowing them to spread throughout the building. Nigro emphasized that in the event of a fire, if you should happen to escape the room where the fire is contained “close the door, close the door, close the door.” I will admit, I for one did not know the consequences of not doing this. I know now.
