Eight women have come forward to accuse renowned actor Morgan Freeman of inappropriate behavior and sexual misconduct. The accusations are part of a report in which 16 people spoke to CNN about Freeman during their investigation of the alleged incidents.

According to CNN (@cnn), one of the accusers who worked as a production assistant on the set of “Going In Style”, says she dealt with months of harassment from Freeman. She says the actor frequently touched her lower back without permission and frequently made comments about her clothing and figure.

The woman said that one of the harassment incidents included Freeman trying to lift up her skirt and asking if “she was wearing underwear.” A member of the production staff of the 2012 movie “Now You See Me” said that Freeman made comments about their bodies. She says the crew warned one another not to wear any type of revealing clothing, or clothes that were even fitted because of Freeman’s comments and actions. Freeman’s rep provided a statement to The Hollywood Reporter from Freeman about the accusations:

“Anyone who knows me or have worked with me knows I am not someone who would intentionally offend or knowingly make anyone feel uneasy. I apologize to anyone who felt uncomfortable or disrespected, that was never my intent.”

Multiple Wynn Resorts employees have stepped forward to accuse the CEO, Steve Wynn of pressuring employees to perform sex acts. Wynn has been the owner of multiple casinos in Las Vegas and beyond at one time or another, including The Mirage, Treasure Island, The Bellagio, and Wynn and Encore Casinos in Las Vegas. The Wall Street Journal (@wsj) has published an account of one of the employees who made the claim against the mogul.

The employee in question, a manicurist, claims that after she gave Wynn a manicure he pressured her to take her clothes off and lie on the massage table. The manicurist told Wynn she was married and didn’t want to have sex with him. Wynn persisted until she ultimately took off her robe and had sex with him. The manicurist reported the claim to her supervisor who said they would file a report. Long story short, Wynn ended up paying that manicurist a $7.5 million settlement. An admission of guilt, which will surely make these multiple other charges against Wynn look a lot more credible. You can read the full story at the Wall Street Journal right here

State Rep. Dan Johnson was found dead two days after a news report revealed that the lawmaker had been accused of sexually attacking a 17-year old girl. The 17-year old accused Johnson of molesting her in 2013. She said Johnson was drunk when he did so.

People Magazine (@people) reports, authorities said Dan Johnson, a 57-year old father of five, drove to a bridge in Mount Washington, Kentucky, on Wednesday afternoon. He parked his car on the north side of the bridge, got out of his car, and shot himself, Bullit County Sheriff Donnie Tinnell said in a news conference. Johnson’s body was found on the bank of the river.

Johnson’s suicide came two days after The Kentucky Center For Investigative Reporting published an expose’ that alleged sexual misconduct by Johnson. According to the story, Johnson woke his daughter’s 17-year old friend up during a sleepover early on January 1, 2013, and kissed and groped her. When the report was released, lawmakers from both parties called for Johnson’s immediate resignation. Johnson denied the allegations on Tuesday, one day before his suicide.

“I don’t want to blast this girl: I have a lot of compassion for her. I’m very sorrowful that she’s in this dark place in her life.” Johnson refused to resign at the news conference on Tuesday.  On Wednesday, shortly before taking his own life, Johnson posted what many believe was a suicide not to his Facebook page.

Sheriffs say one of Johnson’s Facebook friends saw the message and notified them. Sheriffs then tracked Johnson’s cell phone to the river, where they discovered his dead body.

Fox News frequent contributor, Geraldo Rivera commented on the Matt Lauer sexual misconduct allegations a short while ago. He laid down a few requirements an accusation of sexual harassment should meet before it’s considered credible.

According to Geraldo, if you don’t report an allegation of sexual harassment within a 5-year period it didn’t happen? It’s not a valid claim anymore? Or if there were no witnesses or video of the incident, then it didn’t take place? Does he realize that most of these recent accounts of sexual harassment by women against men were in situations where there were no witnesses? Does he understand that the attacker most likely purposely attacked when there were no witnesses around to make the situation into a “them vs. me” situation? In those situations, it’s much easier to dispute the claim. Does Geraldo think that an accuser didn’t plan for this exact scenario when he waited until he and the accuser were alone to strike? It’s hard for me to see where Geraldo is coming from with these rules for what makes a valid claim for sexual assault or sexual harassment. What I do know is deflection. The kind of deflection that a person will use to justify some dirt they’ve done. Maybe Geraldo is feeling the pressure of seeing all of these famous people and politicians being outed one by one for some type of sexual harassment, and he feels like there’s a possibility that his name may be mentioned next. Maybe this is Geraldo’s way of getting out in front of the sexual harassment claim(s) that are probably about to surface against him. I don’t know, but Geraldo’s tweet seems to indicate a little nervousness about something on his part. I’m pretty sure this will not be the last time that Geraldo Rivera’s name and sexual harassment or sexual assault will be mentioned in the same sentence. Usually the guilty person is the loudest person in the room. Guess we’ll just have to wait and see if that saying holds truth in the case of Mr. Geraldo Rivera, who may have just outed himself when no one was even thinking about him.
